A three-member delegation from the World Squash Federation paid a courtesy call on the members of LOC in Birmingham, where the Commonwealth Games are taking place.
The meeting centered on the preparation for Ghana hosting the 13th African Games.
The delegation also explored the possibilities of considering squash as one of the sporting disciplines for Accra 2023.
The leader of the LOC delegation at the Commonwealth Games, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, briefed the squash delegation on the readiness of the country to host the Games.
He was optimistic that all the necessary resources would be made available to ensure successful hosting.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ofosu-Asare also reminded the delegation of its promise to assist the LOC with the provision of some facilities to aid the Games.
Accordingly, the Chief Executive Officer for World Squash, William Louis -Marie, praised the LOC for its determination to host and organise the Games.
Additionally, Louis-Marie assured that his organisation would assist in the provision of some resources to make the event a success.
Members of the LOC delegation at the meeting were Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, Mr. Reginald Laryea, Reks Brobby, and Ahmed Osumanu Halid.
On the part of the World Squash were Lucky Milo head of Africa Squash and Mr. Richmond Quarcoo, who heads the Squash body in Ghana.
