In a vibrant collaboration, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the upcoming 13th African Games teamed up with the Tumus Masqueraders club to orchestrate the grandest Masquerade carnival at the Annual Christmas Takoradi Masquerade Festival.

The bustling carnival, resonating with the infectious beats of a lively brass band, traversed the principal streets of Takoradi, featuring an impressive gathering of over 5,000 masqueraders. Their spirited cheers echoed support for the upcoming 13th African Games, capturing the attention of both young and old and generating heightened awareness for the continental sporting event.

The procession was spearheaded by none other than the distinguished Executive Chairman of the LOC, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, accompanied by Ms. Joyce Datsa, an LOC member and Chairperson of the Accommodation and Catering portfolio, alongside the dedicated management and staff of the Games.

Notably, the carnival transcended the physical realm, attracting a virtual audience of over 6,000 viewers on the official Facebook platform dedicated to the 13th African Games. This online spectacle served as a powerful promotional tool, magnifying the reach and impact of the event far beyond the streets of Takoradi.

The successful collaboration between the LOC and the Tumus Masqueraders club not only created a jubilant atmosphere for the Christmas Takoradi Masquerade Festival but also emerged as a strategic initiative to bolster the visibility and anticipation surrounding the 13th African Games.
