LOC Partnership With Tiktok

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 13th African Games is working with popular short form video platform - TikTok, to produce and tailor content for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023.

Since the partnership began on the 8th of March, patronage of the new official page of the African Games has grown to over 16,000 followers in two weeks, with over 5 million views on content of the Games.

Throughout the tournament, the LOC Media has brought fans closer to the African Games on TikTok with exciting content, including behind-the-scenes moments, team arrivals, interview sessions and live games content, promoting a great opportunity to experience the African Dream and much more.

Fans on TikTok will be able to access the African Games Hub by typing in search terms like, African Games 2023 and African Games 2024. On the search hub, there are features showcasing the latest content from creators, national teams, sports federations, broadcasters, players, volunteers, as well as, officials.

With over 5 million views across #AfricanGames2023 to date on TikTok, this collaboration further establishes TikTok as an integral part of the sports fan journey by showcasing the platform’s offerings on promoting African sports, providing a stage where all fans play to further engage and attract more fans to join followers who already share their passion for the African Dream on @accra2023ag
