Joseph Zubil of Team Epic won the 2023 Elite Men Criterium Race at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, the Executive Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the 13th African Games – Accra 2023, graced the occasion.

The ultimate champion of the event, which marked the 3rd edition of the Osagyefo Criterium, produced a heated circuit of 129.5km in a gruelling 25 laps pinning down an average speed of 38.93km/hr to beat his closest challenger.
Nigerian sprinter Abdul Malik Yusif Alhassan of Team Subsea placed second with a time of 3:19:35.
Meanwhile, Zubil took home a gold medal and a cash prize of $1,300.00. Alhassan, the first runner-up, picked up a silver medal and his cash prize of $600.
Elsewhere in the female category, Nigeria’s Ese Okpeseraye clocked 2:15:17 with a distance of 77.7km over 15 laps registering an average speed of 32.54km/hr to finish first.
Mary Samuel took second position in 2:23:55 and Treasure Coxson was third in 2:23:55.
Annan Adams, the oldest participant of the 2023 edition, clocked 3:19:48 to compete favourably against a team of young bloods and smiled to a cool cash of Gh1000.
