Janet Mensah breezes past Grace Obour to win women’s 100m Heat 2 contest

Janet Mensah won the heat with an impressive time

Janet Mensah outpaced Grace Obour to win the women’s 100m Heat 2 contest at the Accra 2023 LOC National Athletics Invitational Championship in Cape Coast.

Obour, 21, won bronze at the 2019 African Games in Morocco and was widely tipped to win the heat.

However, Mensah produced a stunning pace to claim the top spot with a time of 11.933 seconds. Meanwhile, Obour’s time of 12.107 seconds was only 0.327 seconds better than third-placed Deborah Acheampong from UPSA.
