GFA appoint referees for African Games Zongo Football Competition

The Ghana Football Association has appointed six referees to officiate the upcoming African Games Zongo Football Competition.

The Referees Appointment Committee of the football governing body made the announcement on its website on Friday morning.

Division One League referee Laud Nettey and Rita Nkansah Boateng have been appointed to act as center referees.

Meanwhile, Joshua Anani, Isaac Pinto, Daniel Conney, and Comfort Anyigbe will serve as Assistant Referees.

The African Games Zongo Football Competition will kick off this weekend at the Madina AstroTurf Park.

Eight (8) Muslim communities featuring Maamobi, Sukura, Madina, New Town, Cow Lane, Fadama, Nima, and Tudu will compete for the ultimate.

Winners of the competition will take home the ultimate cash prize of GHS10,000.

Maamobi will face Sukuara in the opening game of the competition while Madina takes on Accra New Town.

The rest are Nima vs Tudu and Cow Lane vs Fadama.

The competition kicks off on the 11th and 12th of June at the Madina AstroTurf Park.
