This has become the maiden appearance of the innovative competition on the cards of the sports codes for the continental games.
Esports are competitive tournaments of video games, especially among professional gamers.
And, the best from the African continent are expected to assemble in Accra in March 2024 for the event.

The sector minister named 5 demonstration disciplines for the Games which include Sambo, Teqball, Speedball, Mixed Martial Arts, and E-sports.
