Chairperson of the TCAG delegation to Accra, Mrs. Kadidiatou Kanoute spoke highly of the proposal and stated that it is a fantastic innovation to preserve the memory of the games.
“I love the scope of creativity from Ghana. I love the idea of leaving a legacy for the games. [It is a great innovation] to have the African Games Hall of Fame which previously didn’t exist in our continent,” she stated.
Ghana’s LOC, in charge of the 2023 African Games, inaugurated the Legacy Sub-Committee in November 2021 to, among other important functions, transform the sports facilities into various departments or faculties of the University of Sport for Development.
