The main aim of hosting and organizing the 13th African Games, Accra 2023 is to use sport to achieve national and continental development goals and contribute to Ghana’s transformational agenda and the African Union Agenda 2063: “Africa We Want.”
To host and organise the best African Games ever and establish one of the leading Universities of Sport for Development in the world.
To create an enabling environment by establishing world class sports infrastructure for the public/private sector partnership and participation in sports development programmes and projects and to position Ghana as the preferred sports events destination in Africa.
